Plantation Security, Inc. has a rich history of more than 30 years, which began with the original founder, Alan Lamarche.

Alan Lamarche moved to north Florida in 1963 to attend Florida State University on a football scholarship. He graduated with a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and began his career as a Wildlife Officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. He later earned his Masters in Criminal Justice Administration and became Florida’s first Wildlife Officer to graduate from the elite FBI National Academy.

During these years of distinguished public service, Alan fell in love with the Red Hills Region and recognized a real need for a specialized, professional security service designed to serve large acreage property owners. In 1980, Alan transferred to the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy where he became Range Master and concurrently began Plantation Security, Inc. He retired from Pat Thomas in 1993 and continued building his company’s legacy and reputation to become one of the most respected professional plantation security companies in the southeast.

Next to spending time with his family and grandchildren, Alan most enjoys taking deep sea fishing trips in the Gulf of Mexico.
